Excursion & Educational Trip

The concept of excursions and visits has been woven into the academic practices of the institute keeping in mind that experiential learning is the ethos of our institute. The motive is to provide the students with a right blend of theoretical learning and an opportunity to witness how those concepts are utilized in the practical environment. We believe in the welfare of the society and serving the society with the help of the budding lawyers. Students of the college undergo a practical training session where they visit the prison, meet the prison inmates and understand Judicial Department Records. The college takes students to various institutional visits, namely:

  • Parliament and Supreme Court
  • Maharashtra Legislative Assembly
  • Maharashtra Judicial Academy
  • Bombay High Court
  • Police Station Visit
  • Jail Visit
  • Civil and Criminal Courts
  • Mani Bhavan Sangrahalay
  • Mumbai City Civil Court
  • Yerwada Jail
  • Central Prison, Nashik

Further the committee conducts a Bail Application Workshop prior to all jail visits. On appointed days, they observe the proceedings of the Court and record their observations in diary. This compulsory exercise provides students first-hand information about the functioning of the courts and also an insight regarding the application of substantive and procedural laws.

Proficiency comes through exposure, as rightly said and it is gainful for the students to know the technicalities of law in practical scenario based on case laws and witness the argument skills of Senior Counsel before the Court.

The visits to all such places broadens the mental orientation of the students and also gives the true picture of the on-going work. Employment prospects amongst students, in turn, are heightened by deeper familiarity with existing Judicial systems.
